This is the personal page of Jarek Hurník.

Right now I'm with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) working as the Assistant Director of the IMF African Training Institute located in Mauritius. Before joining the IMF for the current permanent position I worked for the IMF as a Consultant in the area of economic modelling and forecasting, providing the technical assistance to central banks around the world (IMF Money and Capital Markets Department) and teaching for the IMF Institute for Capacity Development. 

Before joining the IMF I was full time with the Czech National Bank for several years, first in the Monetary Policy Division and later as the Advisor to the Governor and the Vicegovernor.

I also taught at the Faculty of Economics and Public Administration, University of Economis, Prague.

This site contains downloadable versions of my IMF noncopyrighted versions of macro-models that are used for teaching monetary and fiscal courses at the IMF Institute for Capacity Development. Right now, however, I work o new versions of all Matlab and IRIS codes and I have deleted almost everything for a while :) For examples of macroeconomic models and tutorials for IRIS you may visit my (and others) blogs at
